Youth Ministry Convenant

St. Paul Catholic Parish is pleased to have you as a participant in its youth ministry program. Whether you are a member of St. Paul Parish or a guest of a member, our youth ministry covenant is based on the expectation that we will conduct ourselves in a Christian manner during all activities (i.e., riding in vehicles, at restaurants, camps, retreats, trips, etc.) The following are expectations under three covenant objectives for you to read and, after thoughtful and prayerful consideration, agree to by your signature.

HONOR GOD…
• Be reverent and prayerful during prayer and worship experiences
• Refrain from using any profane, abusive or explicit language
• Be good stewards and take care of facilities and other people’s property

HONOR EACH OTHER…
• Treat others as you would want to be treated
• Be quiet and listen, using eye contact, when someone is speaking or presenting
• Agree to disagree (use words like “… in my opinion…”)
• Make sure that the sharing in small or large groups is held in confidence
• Personal relationships between couples should reflect a Christian attitude during all youth activities, as well as in the public eye

HONOR YOURSELF…
• Refrain from possession and/or consumption of any alcohol or controlled substances during Youth Ministry related activities
• Refrain from the use of all tobacco products
• Strive to make a positive difference

Within the programs of Youth Ministry at St. Paul Catholic Parish there is a clear goal of encouraging and establishing behaviors that are conducive to meaningful fellowship and Christian expression. This is supported in part by the directives outlined above.

I agree to adhere to the expectations, under the three covenant objectives listed above to the best of my ability.
